IMPACT & REFLECTIONS · LIBERIA
More than a program. A community of young women becoming.
Becoming Her began with a simple belief: young women do not need someone to tell them who to become. They need spaces that remind them of the strength, potential, voice and purpose they already carry.
What began as a six-week passion project in Liberia became a community centred on confidence, identity, leadership, mentorship, professional development and sisterhood.

WHY THEY CAME
They were looking for more than a program.
Before Becoming Her began, applicants were asked why they wanted to participate and what they hoped to gain. Across their responses, several themes appeared again and again.
CONFIDENCE
Young women wanted to believe in themselves, speak up and become more confident in who they are.
LEADERSHIP
Many wanted practical leadership skills and the ability to positively influence their communities.
PURPOSE & IDENTITY
Participants wanted greater clarity about their futures and the women they were becoming.
MENTORSHIP
They wanted access to women who could share honest experience, lessons and guidance.
COMMUNITY & SISTERHOOD
They wanted ambitious peers, meaningful relationships and an environment where they felt supported.
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Participants wanted to strengthen communication, personal branding, networking and presentation skills.
THE SIX-WEEK JOURNEY
From “Who am I?” to “I know what I bring.”
Becoming Her was intentionally designed as a journey rather than a collection of workshops.
01 · Identity & Confidence — Who Is She? / Exploring identity, self-worth and confidence.
02 · Personal Branding & Professional Presence / Learning to name experiences, values, skills and goals.
03 · Owning Your Voice & Personal Pitch / Practising how to speak about who you are and what you bring.
04–05 · Learning From Women Who Lead / Honest conversations about leadership, careers and possibility.
06 · Celebrating Her / Reflection, community, certificates and graduation.

FROM THEIR OWN WORDS
What young women hoped would change.
I want to become a woman who uses her voice with clarity.
I hope to gain knowledge, mentorship, leadership skills and meaningful relationships with other women.
I want to leave this experience with a stronger mindset, new skills and the drive to create positive change for myself and for others.
These words captured what many participants were searching for before the programme began: confidence, direction, community and the courage to use their voices.
FROM PARTICIPANT TO COMMUNITY BUILDER
Then something started to change.
Becoming Her was never intended to tell young women what success should look like. It created space to ask questions, learn from other women, challenge themselves and recognize their own capacity.

Decontee Beh, a Cohort 1 participant, went on to create Her Growth Hub a space helping other young women discover who they are, build confidence, have meaningful conversations and continue growing.
One young woman grows. She recognizes her voice. She uses that voice. Then she creates space for another young woman to grow.
Impact you can see.
Sessions. Presentations. Mentorship moments. Laughter. Graduation. The community made visible.

THE IMPACT CONTINUES
She is learning. She is growing. She is leading. She is becoming her.
The first cohort may have completed its six-week journey, but the vision does not end with graduation. It continues in every young woman who creates space for someone coming behind her.
